Biography:
Purdie Baumann grew up dancing at her mother and father’s dance studio in Maywood, IL. She continued dancing at The Chicago Academy for the Arts and later went to North Carolina School of the Arts, majoring in Ballet. Purdie took her first professional job onboard Renaissance Cruises and later Norwegian Cruise Line doing Guys and Dolls and Fosse. She moved to NYC and landed a Rockette position at Radio City Music Hall. She played Betty in Gateway Playhouse’s 2004 production of Cabaret, as well as Carousel and as the front of the cow in Gypsy.
