Biography:
Noelani Pantastico is from Oahu, Hawaii. At the age of 11, she entered the renowned Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, where she studied for six years. After graduating from the school in 1997, she was then engaged by the Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB). She was promoted to Soloist in 2001 and to Principal in 2004.In 1998, Noelani Pantastico was nominated by Francia Russell for the Princess Grace Awards and, in that same year, was invited to dance at the acclaimed Aoyama Festival in Tokyo, Japan and at the Jackson, Mississippi Ballet Competition. She was featured in the BBC’s 1999 film version of PNB’s production of Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, filmed at the Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London. In 2004, she performed the second movement of Balanchine’s Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet as a guest artist for New York City Ballet’s Balanchine Centennial.She has interpreted the role of Juliet in Jean-Christophe Maillot’s Romeo and Juliet with PNB and with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo.In September of 2008, she has joined les Ballets de Monte-Carlo as a Soloist dancer.
